If you have not isolated the noise as coming from the hatch, another area to check are the rubber bushings where the cat-back exhaust mounts to the underside of the car. The two rear most muffler mounts are right under the hatch. I needed to regrease the rubber mounts recently after thoroughly degreasing the underside of the car and wheelwells. When the mounts were dry they emitted a very loud squeek at every bump in the road.

Interesting! My squeeks sound hatch-related, but I'll definately check the muffler mounts!
