lazy paint question

Default lazy paint question

has anyone just cleaned and painted the cam cover and the intake maifold w/o removing them from the engine? what kind of paint would be best, im thinking a bbq type paint or caliper laquer maybe?

1 word.. overspray..
You would spend more time masking off the non-painted surfaces, and would risk painting the bolts in place..

You could, but would really be satisfied with the outcome? I was going to do this, but chose to polish the "PORSCHE" and top/bottom aluminum lines on the cam tower. I think it's understated, and a bit more elegant. My opinion is of course, biased..

yea i was wondering about the overspray, but what about brushing it on? and how big a pain is it to take all that stuff off?
