Default Hog Ring Pliers Question

Who has used hog ring pliers on an upholstery job? What brand did you use, and did you use the straight or angled pliers?

I am about to order uphostery for my firebird, and am not thrilled with the throw away description of the hog ring pliers the restoration catologues sell.

Thanks in advance.

I have used them many times to reinstall interior pieces after repair. they can be found at many hardware stores. I have the straight ones, have never needed angled ones.

I used the cheap throw away type and they worked fine. I didn't throw them away.

I purchased hog ring pliers from Harbor Supply. A kit came with both straight and angled ones. I used both of them in my recent job of recovering my seats. The key is to get they type of hog rings that fit the pliers you use.
