I'm wondering if measured diameter, is the same as the torsion bar nominal size.
Anyone know if this is a 24mm S2 torsion bar?
What do the different color codes mean? This one has a blued dot.
I believe it came from a 951, but that doesn't mean it necessarily had original bars.

I believe the regular 951 bars should be 24.5mm and the turbo S (or M030) 25.5mm, and an S2 should be 24mm. So those might be S2 bars.
Stock NA has 23.5mm bars. I don't know how thick the paint is...

Took the other end out (of the same bar), and it's got a yellow paint dot in it.
Did some searching, and it appears that the Turbo, unless M030, had the same 23.5mm bars as the NA. Also, the markings on the spring plates say they are from an 86.

You're probably right, but a 10 thou layer of paint seems very thick. Can someone measure a known torsion bar, so we can confirm, that it will measure 0.5 mm (20 thou) thicker due to paint?
