I have broken a few things made by snap on and all other makes. Brute force and ignorance is very abundant when you use Ingersal Rand impact guns on very tight bolts/nuts. Breaking locking lug nuts also require breaking flat head screwdrivers every once in a while. Its the reason why the lifetime warranty exists.

I just broke a craftsman 1/2 drive breaker bar trying to take off a measly 175 ft lb VW rabit spline nut. I'd hate to see what would happen when I try the 300+ ft lb nut on the 944. There is a cross over point of cost verses quality. I bought a 3/4 drive ratchet, 3/4 breaker bar, two 3/4 extensions, a tray of a dozen or so 3/4 drive metric sockets from 19mm up to 50mm for 34 bucks! Thats the less than half the cost of just a Craftsman 3/4 ratchet. I'm sure Snap on is a lot more. But at this price I can afford to do without the warranty...

i manage to break my craftsman 1/2 drive breaker bar about once a week, so if anyone can tell me that the snap on one is really any stronger i have been thinking about getting one. the worst is when i am trying to break a axle bolt.
