Default Continental ContiSportContact

I'm needing new tires for my 90 944S2. Currently I have Dunlop Sp8000. I justs checked out tirerack and came across Continental ContiSportContact :

Front: 205/55-16 N1 (Porsche OE)
ZR Speed Rated Price: $109
Estimated Availability: In Stock Front:
012345678

Rear: 225/50-16 N1 (Porsche OE)
ZR Speed Rated Price: $105
Estimated Availability: In

Can anyone comment on these or any other tire I can use?

Thanks

Daddy had them on his Passat; decent roadholding, very noisy, too soft sidewall for any sort of "sporting" use... also they wore out *very* quickly. I wouldn't get them.

If you feel like spending just a bit more cash, I can sincerely recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1... so far the nicest tire I have ever had; ultimately not as grippy as Michelin Pilot Sports, but much less expensive, less noisy and the feel when driving fast is excellent for a novice like me (very smooth transition between grip and slide, quite forgiving...)

Here's what tire rack says about them:
Front: 205/55-16
WR Speed Rated Price: $121
Estimated Availability: In Stock

Rear: 225/50-16
YR Speed Rated Price: $137
Estimated Availability: In Stock

Unless it rains in your neck of the woods, then anything with the Yellow and Blue name is good for nothing but looks.

How do the Goodyear Eagle F1 compare to the Dunlop SP 9000? I'm looking for something that is great in the rain, fast driving on dry surface and will not wear out quickly.

Thanks

Define quickly? Anything that does the previous two things well will not last a real long time. I usually shoot for about 12-18K miles sometimes less. I would spend my money on the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 but I am very biased. I work for the company, however, I have driven just about every tire because I like to be objective. They are not much more money than either the Eagle F-1 or the Dunlop and from my experience I would say they are a far superior product especially in the wet weather. Further, they have a 30 day money back guarantee. If you dont like them you can return them.

Do not get the Continentals. In my own words, they suck.

I just pulled all 4 of my ContiSport Contacts off and went back to Toyo Proxes T1-S. I LOVE 'EM!!

Sorry, just had to give my .02 worth.
