Thought I'd pitch in, I currently have 225s on my 7.5" fronts and 245s on my 9" rears.
My new setup will be all 4 corners 8" and I think 225/40/18 will be a perfect size for it. That specific size is SO much cheaper compared to anything bigger, and that's a big factor, at least for me, on a daily driven car.

225 for 8" will look nice.
I run 225 on 9"s and tires are a bit stretched.
These cars are balanced nicely and you will love the way it will drive with the same tires front and rear.

When I had a set of Fuchs on my car for a day, it was night and day compared to my staggered setup. The car felt so much more toss-able and peppy.
