Default 944/924S alignment in Northern Virginia

Greetings.

I took our new project car, an '87 924S, to an NTB yesterday in Chantilly VA for an alignment. They did a fantastic job on our '82 928 earlier this year, so I assumed they were equipped to do these older Porsches. However, after leaving it there for a few hours, they called and said they did not have the proper tools to do it, in particular the rear alignment. And they would not do just the front because they said the front depends on doing the rear first. They were not able to explain clearly what tooling is needed, nor were they able to refer me to a different shop in the area who could do the job.

Does anyone have any suggestions on shops in the northern Virginia area, specifically close to Centreville/Chantilly/Mannassas, who can do alignments for 924S/944's? (We also have a 944 that I need to get done. I assume it is the same as the 924S.)

Thanks

Taylor chapman in sterling va did my alignment for me. Top notch but a little expensive and you need to contact him in advance.

Thanks for these references! It will be a couple weeks before I can try again, but I will check these out.

This is likely what they lacked
You can always buy one yourself and take it to them to use if you can't find a local shop that has one.

This, and some fishing line or thread, is all you need.
