Default Fixing Power Seats

I just fixed both of the power seats on the S2. The driver seat switches didn't work at all, and one of the passenger seat switches worked, but not the other one. After searching for how other people have done it before, I found the 928 FAQ which describes the process pretty well:

http://home.comcast.net/~slyjay/Page6.html

But they left out one thing that is very important, so I thought I'd share it here. Just cleaning the contacts inside the switch assembly might not fix the problem. I had to remove the green and purple wires from the 2 motors under the seat and clean the connectors, because almost all of the resistance in the line was from there.

So, if your power seat switches don't work or are kinda flakey, check those 2 connectors first! It's much easier to get to them than it is to take apart, clean, and put the switches back together. There are a bunch of tiny little parts inside the switches that are very easy to lose, and putting them back together can be very difficult.

Ohhh yeah they work good now! The switches were easy to clean... (Did it with seats in car.) Only dropped 1 ball bearing that stayd put on the carpet so I could easily find it. Holding the bearings in with grease really helps too! Its nice to have rear adjustment finally!!

That's pretty good! I wasn't able to reach underneath the seats to cut the tie wraps holding the switch wires in place, so I had to remove both seats.
