I have the front suspension apart since I have just dropped the crossmember and the oil pan. Before I put everything back together I would like to test my front suspension to see if anything needs to be replaced before I get an alignment. My driver's side tie-rod end started to leak a little bit when I took it off, is this still ok? What is the best way to check the balljoints and the shocks?

well theres usually the "push down and watch the car bounce test" but our cars are sprung too stiffly for that. The rubber on those tie rods looks good, does your car "hunt" on the interstate? if so either your a-arms, tie rod ends or rack are worn. I don't really know how to test that stuff at home though, sorry.
