I noticed that my 968 is a little low on coolant. I want to top it off, but am unsure of what type is currently in it. It is the orange stuff that I see in other 968s. Is that the Porsche brand stuff?
Thanks

Not sure about orange but I picked up some pentosin NF online from the one of the box auto stores.
I would top it off with distilled for now then flush it and change it. Mixing coolants can get ugly. Prices for Mercedes and Porsche antifreeze is absolutely insane. What I paid for two gallons shipped last year will only get one gallon now. Pentosin is about half the cost delivered.

Yeah, I am planning on doing my timing belt, rollers, other belts, water pump, and cam chain/tensioner pads before the summer is out. So I suppose I will just top off with distilled for now and flush when I do this work (wish me luck on all that...first time jobs for me). Thanks for the prompt reply!

Right behind you on the belt/roller job... get the air bleed nipple, radiator drain and 140-150kPa bayonet cap while you are ordering things.... better prepared than waiting on the brown truck. 944online is cheaper on the plastic cooling system parts but he is mainly pre-968 items. I am at 90k and doing the vario-cam pads is my next endeavor.
Nice car....mine is a couple shades up in the color spectrum.

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely pick up those other parts as well. What color is yours, wimbledon green or something? Mine is amazon green metallic...N7 or something.
