Default Porterfield brake pads

Finally got to fitting pads. I got Porterfields a few years ago when collecting the bits and pieces and that was probably a bad idea as was bringing it up here from the States. They don't fit ! They don't slide into the calipers and are a few thous too wide. No problem that a file can't fix though.

The stock pads have a pair of clips that insert into each of the pistons and the Porterfields don't have those. Is that going to cause me a problem with the pad floating?

OK answering my own questions now. I emailed Porterfield with those questions and they replied it's perfectly ok to file the pads and they haven't had any negative feedback on the lack of clips either.
