3 and 4 spoke steering wheel
Not been posting lately so I thought I would ask the moronic trivial fact of the day, so here it goes. Does any one know why some early cars(83-85.1) were equipped with the old style 3 spoke and others were equipped with the more modern looking 4 ,because my 83 has the 4 and I have not seen many with these in them?

It may have been changed to "update" the look. It seems the 86 and later have 4 spoke wheels if they have the "optional" leather package..
I'm so used to the 3 spoke, but better visibility of guages with the 4 spoke.
Both wheels are leather wrapped, but the 4 spoke has a leather covered center..
I'd like to know as well..

our 83 came with 4-spoke, as did the 83 i parted out. my 84 came with 3 spoke and i got a 4 and rewrapped it... looks good 
i like them both. the early 4 spokes had a rubber/plastic center button, the late ones had leather wrapped buttons. all were leather covered.
