Default How to disconnect center brake light for hatch removal???

I plan to remove my rear hatch to replace the glass with Lexan. Can anyone tell me the proper way to disconnect the center brake light so I can remove the hatch?

Thanks for any help,

Mark

If I'm not mistaken the wire/connector shoots down the drivers side and under the carpet. My plug was under the carpet towards the center by the seat. It was a white circle plug. I laid my seat down and pulled the carpet back and there it was.

If you only wish to disconnect the 3rd brake light, a couple of screws will drop the cover and then there's a couple of wires that are connected to the light. If you clip off the spade lugs on the wires, you can pull them out of the driver's side upper corner and then they go through the grommet in the frame upper corner.
