Default Wheel spacer question, '90 944S2 Cabriolet

Hey Guys,

I recently had the wheels refinished on my Cab, and am looking to widen the rear stance a bit.

Here's the specifics:

Wheels are factory Design 90's. The rears are a set of 9" 944 turbo wheels, the fronts are the 8" wheels off the rear of the car, replacing the factory 7" wheels.

rear - 16x9, 52 mm offset, Bridgestone Potenza 245/45/16
front - 16x8, 52 mm offset, Bridgestone Potenza 225/50/16

The front look is perfect - wheels sit just inside the wheel arch.

The rears still sit inside the wheel arch and look like they could be moved out a bit, maybe 10mm or so.

Does anyone have an idea on what I can do for spacers w/out picking up interference?

Spacer size, brand and an idea for new lugs would all be appreciated.

Thanks!

Rick

I bought spacers from wheel enhancement. They are very nicely machined, fit perfectly, and the price was reasonable.

If your experience is like mine, you will need new studs. I've seen it posted many times that you can run a 5-7mm spacer with stock studs, but here is the result with some cayman 17s.

I got longer studs (stock from a 911) from Paragon. If you only wanted to order from one place, they likely gave nice spacers as well.
