Default Whining/moaning noise from right front wheel when turning left

What might be the cause? I'm pretty sure my car didn't do this before... and even now it's only when turning semi-aggressively. Barely audible moaning.... some bearing?

Sami,
seems to me that those agressive track days have had some effect to you wheel bearings.

Steering rack? IIRC, front wheel bearings click, but can be tightened up unless they're completely shot.

Moaning sounds like the steering rack. My old Audi GT had a rack that used to moan. I'd top the reservoir off with ATF fluid and the sound would go away .

Might be steering rack as well. Check out possible fluid leaks.

Let's not skip the easy stuff guys. Whining/moaning might just be the signifigant other in the passenger seat. You did say it was coming from the right side.

Does it sound like this.

"How much did you pay for this? Why did you have to have the exhaust thingy powder coated? We need a mini-van."

If that's what it sounds like then the repair is easy if exspensive. Short term a nice gold necklace will last about 3 or 4 months, the only permenant repair is a diamond tennis bracelet.

Actually, now that you mention it, I haven't checked the power steering reservoir in a looooong time... but somehow I don't think that's it, as that would probably make noise in low-speed turns. I'll investigate tomorrow...

Sid, I take my late night drives alone, but thanks for the warning

Luis, it's a proven fact that poor students can actually pour more money into these cars than those with steady jobs ... weird

It is because once you get married, you automatically get equipped with a secondary 'throttle' linkage.

Yeah but having someone to do your "shifting" for you is worth it rather than having to do it yourself.

My wheel bearings have always made a moan when in need of replacement/adjustment. If its doing this at speed and when you turn the wheel one way it gets loud and the other softer...I'd say wheel bearing.
