Default tranny sound

Theres a weird sound coming from my tranny no matter what gear Im in. It sounds like someone putting a thin piece of plastic into a fan. Everything shifts fine, but the sound seems to get louder and faster depending on how much pedal I give it. It scares me, but everything drives fine. Fluids are all good. Got any ideas?
Thanks!

You might want to change the oil in tranny and inspect old one carefully for signs of metal. If found start looking for replacement tranny or rebuilder. I have had main shaft bearing ( the one on top of differential) problems in one tranny and it made a bit similar sounds. On idle you could hear it in certain frequency and at the end it seemed to be loud in 1-4 gears but absent in 5th.

Good luck

when you change the fluid, try to get your hands on this stuff called "lube gaurd" it is a conditioner and will free sticky transmission valves better than anything.
