German Motor Werks

3014 Penn Ave
Pittsburgh, PA 15201-1521
(412) 355-7907

I haven't brought my 944 there yet since I just got it and I live in New York over summers, but I had work done on my Z3 there and they were great, and they had many Porsches that were in various stages of repair/restoration. Just wanted to get a Pittsburgh shop on the list in case someone needs it.

Also, it would be great if you could put a section for comments like this on the page so people could add their experiences at each shop. I dunno how much work that entials, but just an idea.

For folx in the Chicago area, I recommend:

Midwest Eurosport Racing
104 W Irving Park Road
Bensenville, IL 60616

They deal exclusively with Porsche and Ferrari and do a da*n good job
at not a large $$$.

I done business with them twice and came away very happy both times.

Robert, European Motors
Smith Lane (?)
Catonsville MD
(410) 788-5798

Tiny, whole-in-the-wall shop that has always done a good job for me, reasonably priced.

-------------------------

Tischer Porsche
Briggs Chaney Auto Park
Silver Spring, MD
(301)890-3000

Local dealer, PCA discount on parts usually far beyond the 10% they quote on the phone. Repairs there are thorough but pricey. Occasionally open shop up for PCA events.
