So I just picked up this 85/2, I'm going thru everything fixing this repairing that. I just can't seem to figure out the delay on the throttle. It goes just takes it a second or two before it goes. Any ideas?

Sorry it seems my mobile is acting up and I can't search, wth.

I would check into fuel filter, throttle position sensor, and the AFM track. If it bogs down when you floor it from any speed then probably fuel filter. If unplugging the TPS fixes it, that's the problem. You can use the throttle set screw to adjust the idle a bit higher then see if it still does it. If not, it may be a worn spot in the AFM track.

Also make sure the throttle cable itself has no slack.

I know it's nothing fuel related. I literally replaced the whole system. I have the new vacuum lines on the way. I'll look into the other suggestions tomorrow morning. Thanks for the input so far everyone.

Ha, just came here to post this. My throttle cable is thirty-year-old poopsauce by now.
