Default Replaceing old paper gaskets

Hello everybody. I'm wanting to replace some of the old paper gaskets in the water system. I'd like to make my own. Anybody know what works best.

There are a number of suppliers (FelPro comes to mind) who sell gasket material by the sheet. It tends to be expensive. Given the costs and waste associated with cutting your own, its usually cheaper / faster to buy OEM. You have to select materials compatible with service and be careful not to choose material that is too thick. The thinner the gasket the stronger the joint.

Thanks for the useful info on the thickness. I was just wanting to do the two where the goose neck and adapter are up by the head. Keeps wanting to leak there. I was lucky to get the bolts out. Replaced with bolt heads this time not the allen heads.
