Angry Anyone have trouble with Automobile Atlanta?

As most of you know I have bought a 5-speed tranny from Automobile Atlanta and After 18 days I am still yet to receive the transmission. I called down there today and they still have not sent it out! No one down there knows why it has not been send out and assure me it will be sent out today. (they have told me this for the last week) I decided that I would buy a few other Items off of them to replace things that I should do while I am in there. I found their website at www.automobileatlanta.com and printed out the pages for the sunroof gears(3.54), CV joint bolts (.63) and a shift lever(44.85). I sent an email to the person I got the tranny from on Ebay (JASON) with the parts numbers and the quantities of each Item I would need. I told them to ship the Items together and ship them ASAP. After a week of calling they shipped all but my transmission on Friday. I got the package yesterday and the invoice includes my transmission but I did not receive it. To my surprise the Items have different parts numbers and the prices are different! now my sunroof gear costs 6.85 each, CV bolts cost 2.10 each!, and my shift lever costs 52.95! WTF! I called them back at the number on top of the www.automobileatlanta.com website where the parts are still listed at the low prices and they said that because I did not order them at the website I do not get those prices. I was never informed they would be more money. now I am afraid that when I do get my transmission it will be the wrong one and I will have to send everything back! I would send everything back but they have a 20% restocking fee!
If anyone on here works for Automobile Atlanta tell me why you cannot adjust my prices! NO ONE BUY FROM THEM! CALL THEM AND TELL THEM THAT FROM ME! 1-800-792-4944 Tell them Judd Sent you!

OH yeah press 5 for parts because they do not answer 0 because it is customer support.

Sorry, but your experience with them is pretty much par for the course. You would have a hard time rounding up any people on Rennlist that have nice things to say about them. You just joined a very big club of people that were screwed by AutoAtlanta (I am a member, too).

They are tied for #1 on my never again list-the poor quality of their parts is only superceded by their lack of truthfulness.

judd,

Sorry to hear about that. You have been around here long enough, I thought you would have seen at least one of the 50 or so "Autoatlanta sucks" threads.(well, now make that 51). If you paid by CC, dispute the charge--today. Print out the website page with the prices that you thought you were getting--did your e-mail to Jason include PN and prices? If so, print that out. Get all the documentation you can(including names of people you spoke to and dates). Did I mention to dispute the charge--TODAY.

And if you happen to run into another Atlanta company called PAPs, AKA German Auto Dismantlers, stay away from them to...

PAP has a bad rep (they've changed ebay ID's 4 times that I know of to dump negative comments) that's well deserved. AutoAtlanta has a well deserved bad rep for mail order stuff, but they're pretty good in person. If you want someone to run over and press the issue on your tranny Judd, just let me know. It's a bit out of my way, but I'd hate to see someone suffer while I stood idly by.

PAP has also changed names locally, to get past all the negative complaints from BBB..

I only use them when I am REALLY pinched! I got screwed not only once, but twice. (That doesn't say much for me, but, oh well.) George is the owner and I'm not sure if he knows the engine is in the front of a 944. Yes, that is a personal attack, but I have met him personally.

I too had good luck with AA in person but as others have stated they need some improvements in their mail orders. Maybe Brian and I along with some other listers can convoy up their to get your tranny.

thanks for the supports guys. I just spoke with my CC company and I am collecting evidence for a dispute. I called AA today and they said they cant get me a tracking # yet because Fedex does not have pick up till 5-5:30 everyday. funny, I called yesterday at 1:00 and they said that fedex would not be stopping till tomorrow. I then asked if they stopped everyday at 5-5:30 and they said yes. I am going to return their parts I did get in the mail and dispute the entire amount.

That's just bad business-sell someone an expensive item (tranny) then nickle and dime the guy over small parts?? I don't get it.
