Unhappy Fuel Filter

OK guys, I give up--where is the fuel filter on my 968? I have the new part but can't find the old one! Duh! Help please, Thanks in advance

Isn't it in the same place as the 944? In front of the gas tank, above the axle shaft on the passenger side.

just jack up the back of the car, youll find it pretty easily.

When you find it, you might want to consider using brake wrenches to loosen the fittings. They are more closed than and open end wrench and will therfore grip better and will help keep you from stripping the fittings.

Mike's got a point. I think you'll need a 17mm and 19 mm wrench.


BTW, You may want to have a good look at the fuel line that attaches to the filter downstream. Mine was severely dry-rotted.
