Default Climate Control Fan Not Working ...

On the way to work this morning, my A/C fan stopped working on all speeds except 4 (high). Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be? My assumption is that it is a problem in the control switch ... just looking to see if anyone else has had a similar problem and can possibly point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

it's most likely the resistor pack. its under the hood, inboard of the battery UNDER the thin black plastic sheeting. do a search of the 944 and 951 forums with keywords like "fan resistor(s)" etc. and see what you get - someone will chime in here soon with more/better info - but rest assured that its probably not the control switch...

Haha, mine does that sometimes. Try fidgeting with the defrost button, pushing it halfway and letting it back off....its the temporary fix (sometimes). I need to replace the resistor packs too (easy thing to forget), chalk up one more job!

I gotta go with Brian on this one.

Lift up the plenum cover in the engine bay. Under there, on top of the heater is a white block with a connector, held on with two screws. Take it off, clean up the contacts, and try again.
