EMPI 90-6805 Drive Shaft is the one. it's from an '86 RWD manual vanagon IIRC.

I did lots of research on this. There are like 5 left on the internet for sale, that's it. no longer in production. story is, us 944 owners bought 'em all up. some track racers were buying sets of 4 lol.

Default Use RockAuto for cross reference

Sometimes when I look up a part at Rockauto.com I click on the blue "Part #" which is a Buyer's guide. It shows other applications for the part. I looked up the axle for my 88 924s and the first entry was a Cardone Select Part #667077. When I click on the number 667077 it lists all the applications including 1983-1991 VW Vanagon. Using the Rockauto listings like this may not always work, one must use some common sense but it is often a fair "application guide" or cross reference. Good luck.
