Antera sells a special stem that screws in undernaeth a cap on the wheel (note the little round cap in the photo on the bottom of the wheel). Nice feature becuase it prevents them from being stolen and resold as Antera will not sell you a replacement stem unless you can prove you actually purchased the wheels.

Oh I am certain if you look hard enough you can find a stem or two floating around that some will sell...but you will have to look REALLY REALLY HARD!

right now i use the 3 step meguiars
1: Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
2: Deep Crystal Polish
3: Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax

now once i get it all done it has a beautiful "wet" feel to it

however if the car gets dirty or washed the wet feel is lost fairly quickly, how long does that beautiful newly-waxed-car feel last with zaino (as it seems the majority here mentioned that its the best)?

That wet feel lasts like 6 months! Especially if you spray the gloss enhancer on it after you dry it after a wash (its just a simple spray on wipe off stuff)...then it gets so slick and reflective. Great stuff.

$10 for a 52 page wax report? hmmmm = the price of a bottle of Zaino Z6 gloss enhancer....

thanks for the tips on their ranking though - but what's with the TURTLE WAX!?!

I was just looking at Zaino's site, they have a different polish for clearcoat and non clearcoat finishes. I have Diamond Blue on my 87 and India Red on my 1990. Are these clearcoated? I know my 89 Dove Blue S2 was, as I could see it flaking off.

Thanks,
-Joel.

PorscheG96,

that mean you only wash your car every 6 months?
do you garage it all the time and avoid rain at all costs?
just curious, that's all

OK, got my ZAINO order today and washed all the ZYMOL off the car! The clay barred the entire car in an hour (the paint is in exceptional condition as is with only a few "bumps" or so I thought).

MAN O' MAN, did that clay bar do wonders! I CANNOT BELIEVE how clean and smooth the paint is now! It's like a sheet of glass! I thought my fenders were in pretty decent condition - well now they are the definition of liquid glass - closest thing I can think of is that it looks like mercury!

Well after the clay bar, I put on a coat of ZAINO Z2 polish. It's so easy to do that it takes longer to write it up! It's pretty warn and dry up here today, so the Z2 "hazed" very quickly. I let it dry for 3 hours then buffed it off with the correct white cotton towel. O MY GAWD! I have never seen a finish like this on anything, not even any of the new Mercedes I've owned!

To top it off, I used the Z6 in preparation for #2 coat of Z2 tomorrow AM - but the sheen is UNBELIEVABLE!

So having just done the car with ZYMOL and finding that already superior to Mequiars Show Glaze and Pure Carnuba wax (which I have always used) I am stunnned by the Zaino products.

Cheaper than ZYMOL too! I'll try to get photos up sometime

I have an 87 with a single stage paint. Can someone tell me whick Zaino I should purchase.
Also are these silicone based waxes. I hope to be repainting the car in the next year or so. i have heard that waxes with silicone are very difficult to completely remove causing problems when one goes to touch up or repaint.
Thanks

Ross - go to http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ory_Code=Zaino for detailed information on the processes etc. Probaly use Zaino Z3

This is a non-silicone polymer product that will really impress. Cost is reasonable for what it achieves and probably one of the best from all the testimonials and independednt test http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html

Wash the car with New Dawn dishwashing detergent 1 oz to 2.5 gal of water to strip the car of all wax, silicones etc. Really works to get rid of all the wax build up etc.

Quick Reply: ZYMOL or ZAINO ???
