Default Sunroof delete late 944vs924

I've searched and searched, without getting any solid answers
I have a 968 which I'm removing the roof skin, I know that the 968 has the same windshield as the late 944s.

I have a local guy that will sell me a 924s roof, Is there any way I can make this work? Does anyone have a pic of the windshield area on an early 944 or any 924 with out a windshield installed?

A lot of people say it won't work, but then how do early 944 guys put late flush windshields in their car?

How are you removing the roof skin? I used a few (ok, many) spot weld cutters. It took a few weekends to accomplish. I had a local fabricator put everything back together.

I've removed them in the past with drill bits or spot cutters. I wasn't going to remove this one until I knew I had a skin that would work, as I'm not the convertible type If they didn't give u a phone call starting with a long sigh, then I'd assume even tho it was an early 944 it will work just fine?

When I separated the solid roof from the donor and the sunroof surround, the solid roof fell into place. It was an exact fit. The donor was an early 944. I would assume that the 924S would fit as well.

I paid $200 for my donor roof.

That makes me feel great! Yea I know all 924s are the same as the early 944s. Thanks for the info, I got a guy that is waiting to cut it off as we speak as soon as I found out. 175 and he's about 20 min from me, doesn't get much better than that. Thanks again
