Default CAN'T CONTROLE BOOST!

well everything seems to be going well with the engine other than this. I am running a Deltagate wastgate. I am using it in single port mode and an LBE as a boost controller. The lbe is between the intercooler and the side port of the wastgate. The top port is open. I have loosened the lbe to what I think is 9psi, but when I start to boost it climes strait up to 15+psi! I have been letting off the gas as soon as it gets that high, but I think if I didn't it would just keep going up and up. Any ideas all?

Can I just disconect all lines from the wastegate to check it? I think a stock Deltagate should be around 9psi.

Your wastegate is hooked up incorrectly. If you want to test your wastegate, run a vacuum line from the banjo bolt to the side port on the Deltagate.Do not run any restictors in this line.Your wastegate should open up at whatever spring rate is in your Deltagate.

What do you mean my wastegate is hooked up wrong? I just ran the lines as you said and I got exactly 5psi just using my wastegate.

Ok well I fixed my own problem. I was just stupid and intalled the LBE backwards. Everything seems to be great now.

When you install a boost controler with the Tial wastegate you typically install it like this:
Banjo bolt line to side port.Tee into this line and run it to your boost controller inlet. The line on the outlet of the boost controller runs to the top port.

But you can't use a check-valve boost-controller with dual-port wastegates, only pressure-regulator types. If you have a LBE or Reliaboost, you can only use them in single-port mode on the Tial or Deltagates. Hook these controllers up to the side port and leave the top vented to atmosphere.
