Default Photo request inside door

All
Does anyone have a photo of the inside of the door behind the interior door panel. Specifically the area behind the door handle (outer) and the top of the window track. I think there may be a metal panel there, but it is not on my passenger door and it rattles like hell.
Thanks

There is a small plate in the upper rear corner that I believe was added on the 85.5+ cars to prevent Slim Jim entry. It makes it very difficult to work on the handles and linkages compared to the early cars. If you have a rattle in the drivers door the first suspect is the spot weld breaking on the lower rear of the window guide where it attaches to the door. I had two 86's with that problem and supposedly it's from repeated closing of the door with the window down. Also look for a small crack at the outside upper rear corner of door, that's caused by a broken window track weld also

If they didn't change the doors for a 87 924S I had to tack the top bracket that the widow channel guide screws to when the original tack pulled out of the inner door. Both my 924S's had the same thing. Tack is almost right where the clamp is.

the anti-theft panel was added in 86 or 87, my 85.5 doesn't have it, and my daughter's 86 does. if there is a rattle, it is probably not that panel - I've seen tack welds go bad and also I've seen the inner door panel installed wrong so the handle attachment isn't inserted into its slot, and I have seen the mount for the window motor come unscrewed/crack

On my door (an 86) it looks like there are places for screws on the frame behind the lock/handle mechanism. And if there was something there, it would for lack of a better term, "hold things together" but there is no plate, so I am thinking something is missing, but have no idea what it looks like etc.

Sorry for the terrible lighting! It's probably not the area you wanted to see close-up, but maybe it's helpful.

I too have this "Passenger door rattle." I'd like to see some pics.

Or next weekend I'll be posting another album.

I have got it too but I pretty much just chalked it up to "old car noise"
