Default Cheesehead socket

Someone that's done a clutch job before, will a long-shank (6") cheesehead/triple-square socket work for the flywheel bolts, or will it be a major pain to manipulate something that long?

Snap-On guy told me he has the long shank version on the truck, would have to order the short one, and I'm afraid if I order it, it won't come before I start.

Big thanks !!

The longer one will work. But make sure you have new ones to install as there is a good chance the centers of the old ones will rip out.

That'll be close with the air gun in there too. Can't say that I've tried it with a long one. Not sure if there'd be enough room or not, but it'll be close.

just changed the clutch in a 944NA using air gun and LONG shank hex drive - no problems at all. Close fit, but works. And get new bolts - in fact, get new everything from Paragon - they have a list on the web site - cause the last think you want is to be missing a 10 cent circlip on a throwout bearing..... don't ask me why I know that....
