Yes my car has the factory alarm!! I already switched out the alarm reley box with one that I know is good. Its the block box with 2 plugs on the top and sits behind the DME and KLR correct?? I put the old alarm reley in my running car and it started right up. I will hook the injectors up and see if I get spark.

With the fuel injectors hooked up still no spark. I switched reference sensors around twice and even tried the battery to coil trick as well. Nothing, zilch, nada...

Unbelieveable the car is cursed!! I DO NOT understand this!!

Take a jumper wire and jump pins 1 and 4 on the 8 pin connector for the alarm.. with the box out of it.

Report back.

PINS 1,4, and 8? How do I know which pins those are? The alarm black box has 51, 61, MK, E/A, 87a, 31, T-, and 15 written on the pin diagram.

You can check for injector pulses on the wires by getting one of those bare bulbs used in the dash. Unbend the wires away from the bulb and stick them into the injector connector. Crank the car and the bulb should light up dimly. If using an LED noid-light, make sure you have the polarity correct.

Yeah, the alarm does sound might suspicious. If you don't have both fuel & spark signals, it's either the alarm disabling the DME-relay or the speed & reference sensors are off. To distinguish which one, check for power on the fuel-pump when cranking. If the DME-relay was disabled by the alarm, you'll get no power at the fuel-pump. If it was the spark & reference sensors being off, you'll still get power to the fuel-pump on cranking, but the DME won't even know that the engine's spinning, so no spark & fuel signals.

Danno the car is pumping fuel I have the fuel hose running into a empty 6 gallon gas tank just to check that exact thing. So fuel is being pumped when I crank so I must assume the referense sensors are correct right?

You are only connecting pins 1 and 4.

They are numbered on the back of the connector. I tried to search for my old post on it for wire color... I cannot remember. The connector is U shaped, and with the U pointing down, pins 1 and 4 are at the bottom row corners. I can check my car in a few... almost done with my talk show.

When you crank the car, the fuel pump activates?

Yes I would assume so as fuel is pumping into my empty 6 gallon gas tank when I crank it.

Ok... that does eliminate the alarm. FYI.. just in case, pin 1 is green, pin 4 is black/red. Since it is pumping fuel, the DME is getting at least getting some signal from the speed or reference sensor. You did gap them to .8mm correct? If they are out of spec, they can provide strange signals, enough for the DME to send an incorrect timing signal.

Have you swapped the DME/KLR from your running '87? Have you double checked your cap and rotor? (if the cap is on upside down it will contact the rotor)

Yes swapped out the DME and KLR with my other car and it started right up. I don't have my cap and rotor hooked up. I have my coil wire hooked up with a spark plug on the end of it. I'm pretty sure I got the reference sensors right I used the washer trick to do them.

Hook up the cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and have them all grounded to check spark. You want to simulate the exact running conditions when testing to get the proper impedance on the system.

Electrical issues are a bitch... I went through a lot of tests trying to figure out my problems.

Yes, no clangs, bangs, clicks, or pops to tell you where to look. As for the spark issue, have/can you check the wires to the cap? If power is delivered to the cap, can the rotor physically spin or is their something preventing it from moving?
