How much would someone be willing to pay for a new clear plastic late AC panel piece thing? Thinking about trying one of those before the clear turn signals this summer.

Mine is all busted to hell and there are no sources any more for new ones

This process was not intended to make production parts. If you want to duplicate it's way simpler to just make molds of existing components with stronger materials then mass produce them off the molds. There are ways that we can improve parts that fail, simple copy with weak composites is not it.
Rethink , In the model, consider making a change to the original design that will make it more robust, modify materials, add material, enlarge radii etc.
Look at failure modes and areas that need attention. There is some good 3D modeling going on here. It's copying existing work so far on this thread, that's a good start. I challenge these designers to get big and make it better.

All good points that may not seem to matter when talking about a screw holder - but add everything up to the whole and k74911s makes a strong (pun intended ) point.
Rarely is anything on a mass production car milled, or today printed. It's all cast in a mold, or stamped in a mold. From wheels to hoods.
It's worth noting some challenges. Nvm!

It's worth noting some challenges:
The clear thing is a light transfer element. It is designed to have a certain angle of refraction so that light escapes in a certain direction.
The turn signal lenses would have a similar challenge. The inside of the lens is textured and designed so the light is directed and diffused a certain way. Similarly, the texturing would reflect other light a certain way.

I'm super intrigued by plastic molding. Have done tons of research, will be building a pressure pot and vaccuum chamber. Found a really cool crystal clear urethane product that is safe for outdoor applications (like an OEM lense it won't yellow). As we get closer to summer you can expect a feeler thread for what I should make first. Hopefully I can make some handy products to help out the community.

@butters
How about a one-piece or two-piece(top/bottom) replacement for the 6 tail light lenses? I'd be interested in that. It would probably make the taillights look a lot cleaner.

I have been 3d printing for a while now and have a few printers. Your best bet to make a stock piece from some of these is either nylon filament or make a mold and cast some. The nylon I have is tough stuff it really takes a beating and holds up to heat but you need a heated build chamber for large prints. Those are some nice prints that you made though
