Jumping time?

What could cause a 1987 porsche 924s to jump time?it was running fine.i took off intake manifold to replace gaskets.Now it cranks but will not start? noticed a couple teeth missing off timing belt?but it was running great prior to replacing intake manifold gaskets? Any ideas?

and if I were you, I would not crank it any more at all. replace the belt WITHOUT MOVING ANYTHING!!!. then with the belt replaced, TURN THE ENGINE BY HAND WITH A WRENCH until you get to TDC via the flywheel mark and then remove the belt, rotate the cam to TDC BY HAND (feeling for any interference), reinstall and retension the belt and run a compression check. You may (!!) be lucky, but if you don't have full compression on all cylinders, pull the head and get the bent valves replaced.

Thank you for all of your guidance and input.the crank no start ended up being a fault in the fuel injector wiring harness. *Now that is fixed she starts up great!! Going to change timing belt to hopefully prevent disaster!
