Default Sorry the 928 vs. 944 thread has been deleted. More inside>

I am sorry to have to do that. We had some really good responses but mostly just name calling and car bashing. I didn't start that thread to hear my car is better than your car and your car is a piece of S$!^^. All Porsches are great cars. All Porsches are the best at what they were designed to do. Most Porsches can multi task and still be better than 90% of the vehichles on the road. We should all be thankful that we have the privelage to drive these cars. We could have all been born in an area where that would not be possible or in a time when they didn't exsist. I am greatful that I have the chance to experience this and you should be too. I think most of you are or you wouldn't be here and feel so passionate about your cars.

I read quite a few posts near the end and I didn't see anything that objectionable.

Are we able to delete our own threads now, or is it still up to the moderator?

Cool

Can we bash people who delete threads?

NO....... Just Kidding!!!!!!

Didn't get to read anything on this thread, but how can a Porsche owner bash a Porsche of any kind? Each is a unique vehicle designed at/over a particular year/era to fit a particular budget and driving niche. Good engineering never ceases, and hopefully, each succeeding design (within that budget/niche combination) will be "better" than the last.

I'm quite happy with the great variety of Porsches over the years, from the early cars through the 914s through the 25 years of front engine production and into the current rear engined cars and cayenne, each has been an excellent vehicle for the niche for which it was intended.

No man... I spent nights preparing my arguments! Did not sleep, did not eat and was just about to buy a 928GTS because they are so cheap to run I hear.....

PS. They are all great cars and well done for deleting.

Well, you'll never get to know, because it's been DELETED!

I'm not so sure this is a big improvement over the old system. I guess it takes some of the responsibility off the moderators.

But I think it's wrong that someone who posted the first message in a thread can take sole responsibility for censoring everything that's said afterwards.

I prefer the old system where you could only edit what you had written yourself.

Personally, I've always liked 928s. It was interesting seeing the BS flying back and forth.

Dammit, that thread was bitchin'. Literally. I actually had fun following it.

Damn, now I'm going to have to start another computer fight thread just to get rid of the pent up 944 versus 928 frustration. Either that or rag on Canadians

Don't think I'll sleep well for quite a while.
