Default Another oil pressure needle fluttering question

I have an issue when my car is fully warmed up that oil pressure gauge flutters between 2 1/2 and 11/2 bar. The oil light never comes on and as soon as I get the car gas that all pressure rises. Also note that the previous owner had the rod bearings all replaced about 1500 miles ago. I've gotten below the car and checked the connections and they seem solid enough but I ordered a new VDO Gauge just to be safe. There is no knocking in the engine and the lifters do not make noises either. In fact other then the fluttering at idle when it's warm it drives completely normal. I use Joe Gibbs 20/50 synthetic racing oil. The only other thing of interest I can think of is that whenever I push in the clutch while at idle the fluttering becomes less pronounced.

Make sure the crank bolt is still tight and tightened to 155ft lbs if I remember correctly.

It is. I recently changed the water pump. But it fluttered before that as well.
