acutally, it's luis de prat (of barcelona) who has a nice one.
"Includes 625 Turbo Cabriolet. A different source, Jerry Sloniger's article in the October 1991 issue of Excellence indicates that the factory built 525, of which 255 were exported to markets outside Germany."
here's a link, the source is from the 944 FAQ.
(hey luis, my cousin and her husband (de catalan) are in figueres or girona and are trying to figure out how to stay there, and if not sucessful, reluctantly come back to LA)

Yeah, I own one. Thanks for the compliment, Cory
Brian, what color was the car you saw? This car was not officially offered by PCNA in America, so keep in mind that there are some very well done conversions. The best are converted S2 cabs, because they have all the cabrio chassis reinforcements.
At any rate, the factory production figures are unclear. The only number that seems to be consistent across different sources is the number of RHD cars (wheel on the right) which was 100 cars, all shipped to the U.K.
For a total figure, including those 100 RHD cars, I've heard 525, 527 and 625. Take your pick. I read 527 in a French article that seemed to have some inside information from the factory, so that's how many I think were built.
In all, it's a fairly rare car, although I'm sure several wound up there. Where did you spot the car you saw?
