Default Cause of difficult locks

The interior driver lock has been hard to pull and push and has gotten worse in cold weather now. When I opened up the door panels I tested the solenoids and only the passenger one worked. Currently both of them are disconnected, but could one of these make the moving of the lock be difficult? So many gremlins in this car.

Hi Tim, Check out the link below as it might help get all working parts up to snuff.

Thanks Larry. I'm going to do this today. Another question I have is the control and functions of the central and electric locking.

When properly functioning is this how the door locks operate? (correct any mistakes)

when locked, pulling up on the drivers side or passenger side lock will unlock both doors. Where is the sensor that activates this action? Is it the little microswitch directly on the handle or is it sensed in the solenoid or somewhere else?
