Most likely a mis-placed Long Islander-- did he LOOK like Joey Butfuoco?

at least your not in the "redneck riviera"- aka Jacksonville. Porsche is something the old overstuffed chair sits on there. (porch)

a$$clown. plain and simple. trust me- they're out there.

That kind of response can only come from someone who feels threatened. Its like a woman seeing another hottie walking by.....they turn green with envy and have to put the other person down or embarrass them. In reality, we all know who the a$$ is.

Just a little correction for Chris...The "redneck riviera" is NOT Jacksonville. Although there are a fair number of rednecks in Jax. The 'redneck riviera' is actually a reference to the Panhandle of Florida ranging from Panama City to P'cola. As a recently resurrected Floridian (and having lived in both p'cola and Jax) I thought it important to make the distinction.

Yeah, he was probably a young guy. Most of us get smarter as we get older.

That's bizarre.

Too bad you couldn't revoke his porsche ownership on the spot. Assclown gives the rest of us blowhards a bad rep.

I don't get it???? He said the car next to his, which looks almost exactly the same, was made by a different company????

If this is the case, why the discussion?.....this guy is obviously as daft as the day is long.

Hmmmm. If you think about it. He had a Turbo...so he is either a wealthy kid or a wealthy old guy. Rich kids usually (from my experience) buy new cars, unless they have an interest in a certain car type. In my situation, I have not met a young owner of a nice 944 or 944 Turbo who does not swear by all of the cars. Most often us 'young-ins' buy the 944's because we cannot afford 911's (and they are too fast too soon for inexperienced drivers). This being said, what young kid would buy a 944T over a 911 of the 80's unless he actually likes 944's.

I'd think the guy was in his 30's, and was once a hot-rodder in the 70s/80s and has now joined the ricer crowd with his German. He was probably ridiculed for 'not having a real Porsche' and his excuse is that his IS a Porsche and the NA's were supposed to be Audi cars....

He is an idiot by any means.

ahofam123...

I'm just west of 441 and just north of Glades. Try to avoid going east because of the traffic.

Robert...

The guy looked to be around 26-30.

Michelle JD...

I have a feeling anything you drive is driven with style and elan, regardless of its origins.

Peckster...

Wait!!! You mean I'm supposed to be getting more mature?

Your responses are cheering me up no end!!! By the way the idiot's (lower case for the lower class) 951 was very nicely maintained (apprearance wise, anyway). Would be fun to thrash one around Moroso sometime!

Keep up the vitriolic response... my co-worker is finding it fascinating!!!

hitbyastick!!!

I was referring to those quaint little retro (engine behind) VW based Porsches like 911 Turbos and C4s that blast by me on the Turnpike!
We all have such humble parentage! (just tweeking our rear engine friends) One of these days I'll be able to afford an old Targa as a "Sunday-
fetchin'- barbque" car. Just something to take a nice drive with.

Please don't think I'm bashing 914/916s... they can be made to perform something fierce!!!.
