Question Saratoga Roofs

Are these things worth it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ory=42606&rd=1

I'm thinking if I get one that I'll add reflective or limo tint to cut down on the sun... FL sun no fun. What about leaks, road noise, etc?

Thanks all!

That one is made of plexiglass, so the quality is not really going to be there, and the noise level will be higher...

That is a very odd listing. For starters, it names 944, 944 turbo and 968.. All of the tops I've seen in the 944 turbos and 968s were power, not manual. It sure looks like the saratoga glass piece for power tops, the "buy-it-now" price is about right for the power/glass version, yet he calls it plexiglass. I've got a little experience with the tops and would be sure to e-mail the seller to make sure it is the correct piece before bidding.
Here's a little web page I did with more info on them..

I enjoy mine, but also acknowledge it isn't as tight as the factory piece.

Careful with that one.. new ones can be had for not much more (www.toysforyourtoys.com) but I haven't heard any reports about the new pieces.

From the description:

Installs in minutes to replace the hard top with the option of sunroof or moonroof.(Manual)
I agree with the others, I'd email for more info.
