Default dropped sunroof on roof (dent)

A few days ago I had the roof off my '87 951 on a nice day. However, I noticed a fast moving T-storm moving in, so I stopped to put the roof on in a strong wind. Well, it slipped, and I put a series of small dents in my roof as I tried to hoist it on by myself. You can imagine the choice words I said as it bounced three times on my roof. I now have a series of small dents on the roff of my otherwise pristine car. Has anyone experienced this misfortune? How did you fix it? How easy is it to get the interior trim off, so perhaps the dents could be worked from underneath?

I would check with your local Dent Doctor's. They certainly would be the fastest and cheapest route. The headliner is pretty much just glued to the roof.

I also recommend the paintless dent removal. I posted a thread "the car has a ding" search for my user number 8731 if you want to see before and after pictures. It is almost impossible to find.

There's also a kit called "Dent King" sold at Autozone or Kragen, about $29, that uses a glue that won't harm the finish, and you position it over the dent, glue the arms down and center piece down, and then you twist the center piece mechanism, and it pulls the dent out.

Has anyone actually used the glue dent puller & did it work?
