Default What is it like running on all cylinders?

So, for those that know a little about me, I have a track car I bought 2 years ago and track avidly.

Anyhow, I've always been super happy with the car and have been pretty competitive racing in PCA/944 Cup. Anyhow, after dealing with the frustration of having others pull away from me on the straights, I did a compression test and found that the #4 cylinder was quite low. (Why I never checked when I bought the car is beyond me...) I found a bent exhaust valve, and then decided to do a pretty full engine rebuild.

Right now, I'm quite happy with the results.

I've broken in the new engine, and I'm making a bit more power! Below is a dyno chart with a run in October 2012 and last March, after I had the injectors rebuilt. As you can see, lots of gains everywhere! And just perfect for the 944 Cup class, which allows a max of 144 HP at the wheels.

Now, I'm itching to take it to the track! (And am going to the Glen in a few days.) But I won't have a race until next year.

Is that the build Michael Mount did for you (unless that was someone else on here..)? Definitely looking forward to some track footage of you kicking even more butt than usual!!!
