Question Hard Start in morning

I have a hard starting issue in the morning only. I am thinking it is not holding fuel pressure over night? I have replaced the filter and injectors. Possibly the FPR?? It does start up after about four turns of the key..

You sure this isn't a starter issue? Reason I ask is that I'm having problems at cold-start up and I think my starter is going bad. I hear a relay click and a fairly loud electrical *hum* but the engine doesn't turn over. Takes about 4 re-tries with the key before it comes to life.

It turns over, and you can hear it wanting to start, then on the second try it kicks over but sputters off quickly.

You need to check how long fuel pressure stays in the rail. There is a check valve in the outlet of the fuel pump which may be leaking, assuming your injectors are holding.

The fuel rail in mine developed a leak in it and it had the same symptoms as you're describing now. See if you smell a leak somewhere....my leak was pretty bad and I could smell fuel from the engine bay with the hood closed after running the car for any length of time. It was bad...
