Default Paint question

The hoop spoiler on my S2 was apparently clear coated with a previous (before me) re-spray.

It has become discolored... As in white and cloudy in some spots.

If I wet sand it... To get the clear off... Do I then need to seal it with something? Or can I just sand and leave alone?

The white/cloudiness is clear coat separation. It will need to be resprayed. Taking the clear coat off will leave the base coat which cannot be polished. It's not the same as having a single stage paint left behind once the clear is off.

This is the hoop spoiler.. Which is some sort of black plastic material. Looks to me like it was just clear coater... Not sprayed black.
