Screeching Ignition Sound
Need help. What could be the screeching sound
while starting the ignition. Comes on not too often. I install a new rack which seems OK. But when I start the engine and turn the wheel I hear the noise. Is it bad switch or a steering problem?

I can't help but wonder if it's your starter... mine sounded like a box of rox when the car wouldn't start (no fuel); now that that problem is fixed and the car starts right away, the start makes a sort of screeching noise when it starts. Gonna have to get it rebuilt.
