Post 924 windshiled trim?

I need to get the aluminum trim, channel, around the windshield off my '78 924. It looks like it is pop riveted. Is there an easy solution?

Yes, pretty easy to get out. One small phillips screw at the bottom and one part way up will remove the side pieces; then you should be able to get to the screws that hold the top piece on, after popping out the plastic end caps.
