I snapped the radiator drain plug. I called the local dealers and they are either closed or can't get one till Tuesday. The part number is 944 106 358 01. Anyone know of a source (for instance VW or Audi) for a similar part? The threads are currently still in the radiator. Does anyone know what size this plug is?
Thanks!

I feel for you. I recently did the same think by over tightening the plastic plug. I removed the broken half with a broken screw extractor (reverse threads). Then, as a temporizing measure, I found a metal bolt with the same threads and inserted it with RTV gasket stuff to help seal. I was careful not to over tighten the metal screw into the plastic part of the radiator. I have since ordered a replacement plug from Paragon, which I should be receiving this week. Good luck.

I had the same thing happen to me...I went to a hardware store and got a 8 or 10 mm x 3/4 bolt and a flat rubber washer. They were in those "special" fastner boxes at most hardware stores. I used a small screw driver to back out the broken plug. May have to tap it into the plug to get a bite. It worked untill I got a new plug.
Hope it helps.

Thanks. I ended up picking up a plug from a local auto wrecking place (Campbell Nelson Auto Wrecking). They were nice enough to not sell me the radiator that goes along with it. Looks like brand new and cost $1. I don't think I will bother picking up a new one from the dealer like I was planning to.
