oh come on guys - you can change the door handle from the outside, it's a bit tedious, you need some long screwdrivers or leverage to snap the little ball clips into place, the one on the lock snaps to the back of the lock, so that's no problem, the latch release extends downward to the latch and can be a bit tricky - if you have a later model with the cover over the latch then you probably will need to pull not only the door panel but also remove the cover and mess around - but you can do it in well under an hour - you can see if you can reach the latch linkage through the vent in the door jam, I don't remember if I could reach it or not. Whether you can do it this way depends on your degree of mechanical skill and also on the size of your hands.
pending fixing the linkage, you can tie a wire to the old linkage and pull on the wire to open the door

I live on campus so I can walk to class till I get it fixed. I'm leaving the window down a bit so I can reach it and open it, and taping it up with a clear garbage bag lol, theres a storm coming tonight so hopefully it won't get wet.
tomorrow i'll phone around and see if i can get a new linkage sent to me.
where exactly do I a wire? I thought you have to push that part down not pull to open the door.

Actually, according to his other videos, it ducts air down into the trans-cooler he has mounted where the spare tire area used to be.
