AGLA steering wheel re-covering
Does anyone have experience with this outfit? They quoted me 190.00 to re-cover my burgandy wheel(including shipping and a loaner). They always advertise in Excellence, but I was looking for some feedback before I commit. BTW, the DIY re-cover takes an estimated 6 HRS!!!
Thanks,
Eric

The DIY Cover for an Air Bag wheel took me an estimated 6 hours a day for three days.
However, it looks very nice and has a good feel. The leather is much softer and it can feel a bit sticky on hot humid days.
It fits well, but I had some troubles with the hole alignment - on some runs I skipped a hole and on others I had to double thread. Not sure if this was user error or not.
I can not speak for thier workmanship.

Eric-Recently had my
steering wheel redone by
AGLA and I'm not satisfied.
The stitching was poorly
done and the leather above
and below the horn does not
match and fit properly .
However, I called AGLA back
and they said they would
redo it. With only 40,000 miles on my car, my original wheel's stitching was in better shape than AGLA's redo. I'm hoping they do it right the second time?

Thanks for the replies. Dino, what color is your wheel? I am a little concerned regarding the burgandy leather match, as I have seen many "slight" burgandy variations. However, my wheel is very ratty(leather worn off, stitcching hanging down) and detracts from an otherwise pristine interior(no dash cracks ), and options are limited. The 930 wheel is too much $$$(and no burg.), wheel skins don't appeal to me, and I am not a big fan of aftermarket choices(except the small diameter "chain link" wheel--that would look sweet w/my "chain-link" license plate holders) . So, I am placing my order today from AGLA. Dino, although you're not satisfied, the fact that they are going to re-do it shows me they are at least concerned w/ their customers' satisfaction. I will post my results once I get the wheel back.

Hi Eric,
I ordered a kit from Jason at Paragon Products 800.200.9366. When I received it, I brought it to, of all places, my tailor! I would suggest doing the same thing. The kit was great and having an experienced seamstress do the work paid off! The wheel looks great and I couldn't be happier. Call your tailor and see what they say.
