OK last night I received a new window from Ian's and installed it. My question is the metal trim piece that snaps into the rubber seal? Does that piece have to be installed with the window out? Is there a trick to get it snaped in?

Done a couple; easy to bend and screw up. Liquid soap, piece of wood (wrapped in old towel or t-shirt to protect finish) and a rubber or wooden mallet.

OK, I am Dutch and mot realy familiar with all the terms used, so might be wrong here...

Quarter window is the small window behind the door, right?
Then the trim you mean must be the one that is to be inserted in the rubber, right?

If so, then the trim MUST be inserted with the window out.
Make sure the trim is in position completely, and I mean COMPLETELY, before you put the complete ***'y in the car.

Dont try and put it in or correct it with the window in place, the pressure on the rubber is too big to get the lip inserted in the rubber.
Final result will be a lot of blood, sweat and tears AND a wrecked trim....
