Roads have been dry as a bone for weeks... and I couldn't stand it. I figured, which is the greater risk? Getting a small quantity of salt on the car or letting it sit and rot and develop lord-knows-what mechanical problem from sitting? Well, you can guess the answer I settled on...
Car started on the 2d turn. Drove all over town. It ran -flawlessly-.
I can't WAIT until spring.

Good choice, Thaddeus! Dry salt by itself won't do much harm at all, and regular use is on of the best forms of preventive maintenance.
I'm itching for tomorrow's autocross. At the last one (in San Diego), we got halfway through the timed runs when some pumper trucks from the fire dept. start doing drills, spraying water on the pavement above our venue. Well, gravity being what it is, the water ran down and flooded the course...end of autocross.
Here's to a long, sunny spring in your area!!
