Cool Any pilots?

Just curious, are any of you fighter or former fighter pilots? I read in a fighter pilot book once that the most common automobile among fighter "jocks" is Porsche. Something about pushing the envelope with the best in the sky and on land...

Anyway, just curious, because hopefully in about 5 years I'll be doing just that in the AF. My pops was one for 20 in the AF, and had a Porsche for about 5 years. Anyone care to share?

Going to sleep, for real,
Matt

Yes, but not in the service- so what I can't push in the sky I do on land.

Cool

Matt,
I'm not a "fighter Jock" but I am a pilot in the Air Force flying C-130's. Not as fast but you can carry your golf clubs. I was an instructor in T-38s in UPT for a while however. That was all the fun of flying a very fast and maneuverable aircraft without all the macho BS associated with the fighter pilot crowd. I'll stick with my Herk any day.

I am living in Germany and of course have a German spec 84 944NA. Love the car and love the autobahn. Two other pilots in my squadron are Porsche owners. Both have 944s and one of them has an 87 911 back in the states.

Good luck with the your goals in the Air Force. You won't find a job anywhere that's more fun and exciting.
